Who We Are
Imani Williams-Sparks
Founder, Director, Writer
Imani is the founder of it.SPARKS media, LLC. She is a Director & Writer based in Los Angeles, California. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and completed her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Virginia State University. After studying dance education at University of Maryland Baltimore County, she moved to Los Angeles where she attended the New York Film Academy to obtain her Master's of Arts degree in Film and Media Production. She now directs, writes, and produces projects that include music visuals, short films and commercials. Imani has worked on sets for Georgia Power, Toyota, Purpose by Design, and others ranging from commercials, tv shows, and feature films.

Hi Imani, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My journey started at the age of seven when I realized that I love the world of arts. I actually had no idea that I wanted to be a filmmaker. I knew that I loved movies but I never wanted to be a director or writer. Being an actress was more of my speed. While I was figuring out what I loved most, I started doing magazines, commercials, basketball, baseball, and gymnastics before I started dancing.
